Ann,

謝謝啦!因為看到大家搶著報名Yilan的巧克力品嘗會,所以剛買了作Chocolate Torte 的材料.我大概會等到這個周末再找機會試一定會向大家報告成果.

倒是你,買了冰淇淋機了嗎?已經秋天了呢!天氣涼時,吃冰別有一番滋味.

Dear Tina & Aerius,

附上我所收藏的一個食譜, 因為我個人從未作過, 我想保險些, 直接把英文原文附上, 你們如果試作了, 要告訴我好不好吃ㄡ!

Serves 4-6

6 egg yolks

160g sugar

1.11 litter double cream

6 heaped teaspoons Assam Tea

8 heaped teaspoons Orange Pekoe Tea

2 tablespoons dark rum

Beat the egg yolks and sugar together until the mixture has turned a pale colour.

Pour the cream into a saucepan. Place over heat and bring to the boil while stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and add the tea. Stir brifely, cover and leave to infuse for 5-8 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh. Slowly pour the flavoured cream into egg mixture, beating all the time.

Transfer the mixture to a saucepan. Continue stirring and heat gently, but do not bring to the boil.Cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon. Remove from the heat and stir for a further 2 minutes, then leave to cool. When cool, mix in the rum and spoon this into an ice cream maker. Then follow the manufacturer's instruction.
