關於葡萄酒

Would like to share with you about my wine tasting experience within this week. (I use English because my Chinese typing is slower). Didn’t have chance to try the French wine. But have tasted two Italian wines, there are :

1.          1999, Ssasella … , Lombardy, 1900 NT$ on menu.

-         Restaurant : J- Ping, Taichung

-         Medium dry, it’s a little bit sour at the beginning, but become very smooth after some time during the dinner. The flavor combines at least one smell that I couldn’t recognize with the OAK. It’s very mysterious and complicated.  The body of the wine is extremely concreted and felt pretty full during drinking.

-         A very nice wine for red meat. I ordered lamb. The wine matched pretty well and make the dinner become unforgettable.

-         One of my friend couldn’t drink much originally. After tried this wine, started to like red wine.

-         The glass the restaurant served was the crystal, very high heel, long $ wide body. Which helps the appearance and tasting of the wine, also the atmosphere.  Have checked the price of this kind of glass. It’s about 6200NT$ for 6ea. It’s available at the shop which sells the wine.

2.          2001, Monsodoro. 2300 NT$ on menu

-         Restaurant : Girogio, Taipei

-         Medium dry, like the above, it’s also sour when the wine just served. The taste mixed with dry and sour. An interesting flavor. After some time, the flavor started to change, to a pretty full feeling. There is a driving force that you feel like can not stop the drinking.

-         This wine matches red meat pretty well. We order several different dishes of meat, pork ribs, lamb, steak, chicken. All fits.

-         The glass that the restaurant served was the crystal, high heel, round and wide body. Which helps to weak up the wine quickly.
